Analysis SWOT of the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in State Junior High School 2 Gunung Talang, Solok Regency

This study aims to determine how, SWOT Analysis of the implementation of the independent curriculum at State Junior High School (SMPN) 2 Gunung Talang, Solok Regency. This type of research uses qualitative research through descriptive analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that the SWOT Analysis consisting of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats from the strength side by creating effective teaching and learning activities through preparing materials and paying attention to student needs. And the weakness analysis is very limited number of guidebooks or reference books that can support learning. And the opportunity analysis with the independent curriculum educators becomes easier to provide explanations to students, so that students become active, learning can be adjusted to student needs, the implementation of differentiated learning, and educators are free to design teaching modules. Analysis of challenges with the Independent Curriculum makes educational institutions to complete according to learning needs in achieving national education goals
